The Hampton Inn Niagara Falls is looking for a motivated professional to manage front office operations. The front desk manager will work a mix of administrative shifts and shifts at the front desk. Applicant must be experienced in working at the front desk as well as preferred experience in management.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This individual will be responsible for:
-Ensuring that the front desk team is checking guests in and out of the hotel in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner while following all policies and procedures
-Assists with the hiring process with the GM/AGM
-Evaluates team performance and takes appropriate corrective action as needed to hold team members accountable
-Prepares and adjusts weekly work schedules in accordance with staffing guidelines and labor forecasts
-Reviews guest comments through various channels and ensures that problems are identified and corrected in a timely manner
-Maintains an efficient system of communication between the Front Office and other departments, with particular attention to guest arrivals and departures
-Prepares and analyzes reports involving sales, revenue, and guest satisfaction
-Ensures front desk handles billing and cash in accordance with hotel's standards
-Creates first impression by supervising front office areas
-Sets SALT goals, monitors and uses SALT information.
-Ensures front office is in compliance with all hotel policy and procedures
-Provides employees with the training needed to understand expectations and perform job responsibilities
-Communicates performance expectations and provides employees with on-going feedback including discipline
-Provides employees with coaching and counseling as needed to achieve performance objectives and reach their fullest potential
-Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service
-Possesses a clear understanding of guest service in a hotel environment and demonstrates leadership abilities
-Performs other duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitality.
-Applicant must be available weekends, holidays, and the occasional evening shift
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
-GED
-Basic Computer Skills
-Starting Pay negotiable depending on experience.
-Would accept a trainee.
